Christmas Card Screen Printing
Sat 12 November 2016, 10:00 – 16:30 GMT
Learn to screen print using the photo-emulsion method. In this workshop you’ll learn to coat, expose, print and clean silk screens. You’ll make a set of christmas cards using your own designs. You’ll be able to print either a two colour design or two different one colour designs. 50 plain 5x7 inch white cards and envelopes will be included in the cost of the workshop.
You may want to bring ideas for artwork with you which you can transfer onto the screen using either hand painting/drawing or scan or print onto transparencies. If you have artwork you’d like to screen print and you’re not sure if it’s suitable, get in touch before the workshop and we can take a look.
Materials to make 50 cards each, tea, coffee and snacks will all be included, you may want to bring a packed lunch or there are many good options for eating out near the studio. This workshop is limited to three participants due to the size of the workspace so you'll get plenty of hands-on tuition. On arrival, please come to the studio access door of the Creative Showroom and ring the bell.
