Event description

Description

Directed by Sally Ann Gritton

Join us for a magical evening of songs, speeches and a chance to see all of Mountview’s Undergraduate and Foundation students perform under one roof. St George’s Cathedral, Southwark is the perfect setting for this most festive of occasions.

Reserve a seat with Mountview’s Name a Step Appeal

Tickets to the Christmas Concert are £15, but there is no reserved seating available with the purchase of regular tickets.

Mountview ’s Name a Step Appeal offers the opportunity for individuals to step up and support Mountview’s move to Peckham by offering you the chance to have your name, or a dedication of your choice, on one of our staircases in our new building.

And as a special thank you, if you contribute our Name A Step Appeal by Wednesday 6 December, we will waive the booking fee on your first ticket and reserve premium seats for your party at the Christmas Concert.

How to get involved

You can contribute to Mountview’s Name a Step Appeal and make the most of this offer through our online booking system.

Add one Name a Step Package (priced at £115*) to your basket. This will include 1 £15 ticket to the Christmas concert plus a donation of £100 to the Name a Step Appeal.

*Please note this will secure you 1 seat at the concert. You will also need to add any additional tickets to your basket to accommodate all members of your party.

A member of Mountview’s development team will then be in touch to give details of your seat reservation.

FAQs

What time do the doors open for the performance?

We will aim to open the doors 30 minutes before each performance. Please bear in mind that the church has no front-of-house facilities so early birds are advised to visit one of the many excellent pubs or restaurants in the Waterloo area for refreshment and shelter from the December weather.

Where will I be sitting?

General Admission seating is unreserved and therefore allocated on a first come first served basis. Please note that the Cathedral has some restricted view seats, which we will clearly identify. If you are purchasing a Name A Step package, Mountview will be in touch to reserve seats for your party.

What is your latecomers' policy?

Latecomers will be admitted and seated at a suitable point within the concert, at the discretion of Mountview staff.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

St George's Cathedral is a 5 minute walk from Lambeth North underground station (Bakerloo line). Elephant & Castle tube (Bakerloo/Northern line) and Waterloo station (main line rail, Northern/Bakerloo/Jubilee/Waterloo and City line) are also close by, at 10 and 15 minutes walk respectively. There is no parking on site and free parking is extremely limited in the local area. To help plan your journey, please visit tfl.gov.uk

Does the venue have disabled access?

The Cathedral is fully accessible for wheelchair users. Anyone with specific needs should make themselves known to a member of Mountview staff who will be able to assist.

Where can I contact the organiser with any questions?

If you have any enquiries about the event, please contact Mountview on 020 8881 2201 or marketing@mountview.org.uk

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Please present either your printed or mobile tickets on arrival.

What is the refund policy?

Unfortunately we can't offer refunds for this event.

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

Yes, this is fine.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

No food or drink is permitted inside the Cathedral out of respect for its function as a space for worship.

What is the Name A Step Appeal?

You can find more information about the Name A Step Appeal, and about our move to Peckham, on our website.

Is Mountview a registered charity?

Yes, Mountview is a registered charity, no. 274166.
