About this event
What: The Parent Bench Drop-in Session is a casual, open-ended gathering designed to provide a supportive space for parents to connect, ask questions, and share experiences. It’s a low-pressure environment where you can get a taste of the community and expertise that The Parent Bench offers.
Who: This session is perfect for any parent seeking support, whether you're dealing with a specific challenge, feeling isolated, or just curious about what I do. It's a chance to meet Amanda, along with other parents in a relaxed setting, for some additional support.
Why: In the fast-paced world of parenting, it can be hard to find time and space to talk about what's really on your mind. This session provides dedicated time to step away from the daily grind and receive guidance and connection from other parents who understand.
Key Highlights:
- Informal and welcoming
- Expert guidance
- Peer connection
Come as you are, with whatever parenting question you have—big or small. We look forward to seeing you there!
Who's hosting the Workshop? I'm Amanda, I understand the challenges and joys of raising a family with an adult daughter of my own and have had the privilege of working to support families of different backgrounds for over 25 years. I believe deeply in positive parenting approaches, focusing on the parent-child relationship at it's heart. I am trained in a wide number of areas and evidence-based approaches around Attachment-Based Parenting, Integrative Attachment Family Therapy, Theraplay and Developmental Dyadic Psychotherapy informed principals, therapeutic creative arts, and Compassion-Based Mindfulness. I am a Sleep Practitioner and Trauma-informed. All of which means I provide a truly integrative personal approach when supporting families.
I'm here to help you connect with your children through attachment and play based approaches to make every day life just a little bit easier.
Additional Workshops with focused themes and Drop In Sessions will be available over the coming months.
