About this event

Hobbies • Anime & Comics

Join us on our Christmas glass fusing workshop. Our classes are small to allow for 1:1 time with artist Chan Foy, in order to develop your ideas, and are suitable for beginners and improvers. During class you will make a Christmas bauble to decorate your home or as a gift for that special somebody (if time allows you can also make a smaller item). You can also gift one of our workshops for a special occasion (ask us about our gift vouchers). Chan will guide you through the principles of glass fusing including breaking glass and layering using Bullseye glass, stringers and frit. Your creations are fired & are ready to be picked up from the studio in around 1 week time. We will email you when your glass is ready to be collected (check your spam/junk as our emails often land in here).

Refreshments are provided, please feel free to bring snacks and an apron.

When you arrive at Vine Grove, head for the ORANGE TEARDROP FLAG, please walk to the turning circle at the top of the cul de sac, Chan will be around to greet you. There is a passage way between our house and the tidy neighbours, please come down this and turn RIGHT, you'll see the studio in the back garden. To access the studio you will walk down two steps on to the garden path, then two steps up into the studio.

Parking is recommended on a nearby side street - Akesmoor Drive (SK2 6BU), it is a few minutes walk from the studio. There is limited parking for Blue Badge holders near the studio so please email in advance if you require a place reserving (there are 2 parking spaces).

Access into the studio is two steps down into the garden and two steps up into the studio, the door has a small lip on it so you will need to step over this. We will be using a variety of tools on the day to break glass, email us if you have any challenges with your hands to check this out (recent injury/surgery or limitet use).

We look forward to meeting you and starting your glass journey with us:)
