Every year, The Cowshed helps thousands of children who would not otherwise receive Christmas presents. For the last few years, Saltshaker has provided The Cowshed with gift food hampers to share with families in our area experiencing hardship at Christmas but each year some families have missed out. This year, we have been asked by The Cowshed to provide 1,500 hampers to make sure that everyone can receive this gift. The hampers will be delivered to families by The Cowshed alongside their Christmas Present appeal which in 2024 supported more than 2,500 children: read The Cowshed's 2024 Christmas Project Report and see the video diary of The Saltshaker 2024 Hamper Project.

To achieve this dream, we need your support! Please consider supporting us in one of the following ways:
- Join us for a hamper packing session! Many hands make light work! We have a number of sessions for packing the hampers, across Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd November - mark your diary and join us at one of them. Friends, partners, families and children are all welcome! We'll turn on some festive tunes and share a mince pie and a hot drink while we work! To give us some idea of how many people to expect, please register ASAP with a ticket for every volunteer (adult or child)!
- Sponsor a hamper (or five)! Each hamper costs £10 to provide and you can make a donation through our JustGiving page.
- Spread the word! Share this information with friends, family, colleagues, school groups and clubs to help us build awareness and support.
