Event description
Come and join me for a fun and informal Christmas knitalong where we will be making a cute little santa hat decoration.

About this event

In this festive knitalong class we will be casting and making a little mini-santa hat.

This adorable little hat can be used as a tree decoration, festive bottle topper or you could string a few together for some mini-hat bunting!

You will be sent a kit ahead of the class which will include the instructions and enough yarn to make 3 mini hats.

You can choose to knit the hat in the round on double pointed needles, or you can knit it flat on straight needles and seam it at the end. Instructions for both methods are provided in the pattern.

You will just need to bring a pair of 4mm needles (straight or double pointed depending on how you want to knit the hat) some scissors, and a tapestry needle to weave the ends in.

This workshop is suitable for beginners comfortable with knit and purl stitches and k2tog decreases and kfb (knit front back) increases.

Skills / Techniques Used: Knit and purl stitches, kfb increases, k2tog decreases. (demo's of the increase and decrease stitches can be given in the class)

Measurements: The finished size of your mini hat will be 3.5” / 9cm high and 3” / 7.5cm wide.

This class is suitable for beginner knitters and the class is kept small to allow to make it a cozy space for us to have a knit and natter as we make the hat.
