The run-up to Christmas can be a stressful time, this workshop will help you to manage the madness! It will be practical and fun - with Chocolate meditation included! The theme is mindful celebration :) 

Mindful self-compassion is the foundation of emotional healing—being aware in the present moment when we're struggling with feelings of inadequacy, despair, confusion, and other forms of stress (mindfulness) and responding with kindness and understanding (self-compassion). Mindful self-compassion also means holding difficult emotions—fear, anger, sadness, shame and self-doubt—and ourselves, in loving awareness, leading to greater ease and well-being in our daily lives.

Mindful self-compassion can be learned by anyone. It’s the practice of repeatedly evoking good will toward ourselves especially when we’re suffering—cultivating the same desire that all living beings have to live happily and free from suffering. And as the Dalai Lama says, self-compassion is the first step toward compassion for others.

The workshop is suitable for everyone from complete beginners to experienced practitioners. It fun, practical and experiential. I've been running this workshop for five years and people regularly re-attend. :)

Sometimes it will be possible to transfer your ticket - subject to availability. Workshops in Winter months tend to sell out so transfer is limited, summer workshops usually have more availability.

It is possible to buy a ticket as a gift, the person just needs to give the name the ticket was booked under when they check in with me on the day.

Bridgeen Rea-Kaya

Bridgeen is a pioneer of mindfulness and mindful self-compassion classes for the general public in Northern Ireland. She is the only person teaching here to have a Masters in Mindfulness Based Approaches (Msc) from Bangor University, Wales. She is also the only accredited and trained Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) Teacher.  She a qualified yoga teacher (YFNI), Reiki Master and an all round lover of the slow down movement. Bridgeen follows all the good practice guidelines for mindfulness teachers you can see her official Be Mindful listing here . She is also a member of the UK Network for Mindfulness-Based Teacher Training Organisations and the Mindfulness Teachers Network Ireland. Bridgeen is also a qualified mindfulness supervisor.

A proud member of Thich Nhat Hanh's Order of Interbeing with the dharma name: True Profound Happiness. She has studied extensively with the international Plum Village mindfulness community since first visiting in July 2005.

Bridgeen has been Centra's Mindfulness Ambassador since 2017 and an associate trainer for the HSC. She lead the Action for Happiness course 'Exploring What Matters' a first for Northern Ireland, in summer 2018.

Bridgeen has an MBA and a BSc in Communications, Advertising and Marketing. Bridgeen's foray into the holistic business began in 2005 when she began teaching yoga.  Immeasurable Minds was originally a part-time business but she gave up her Civil Service job and went full-time in January 2014. She got married in 2017 and added Kaya to her surname to honour her lovely husband. 

Her personal motto is "There's no need to run, strive or struggle: just be.'
