This workshop is suitable for anyone with basic sewing skills and may involve some work at home to finish your table runner. You are welcome to bring your own Christmas fabric, and I also have some you can use as well. You also need to bring some fabric in plain colours to match your Christmas fabric. Instead of making the table runner, you may choose to make Christmas placemats instead.
Week 1. Saturday 25 October 10-12.30pm
Learn how to cut and then sew your fabric pieces to make a 10" patchwork square.
Week 2. Sunday 2 November 10-12.30pm
Continue sewing your patchwork squares until you have 6, then sew them together. You may have to finish making these at home.
Week 3. Week 2. Sunday 2 November 10-12.30pm
Quilt a padded backing for your table runner using "stitch in the ditch" technique. You may have to finish the edging at home.
This workshop is ideal for anyone who wants to learn how to do basic patchwork and quilting. You will make a Quilt approximately 5' long, or 6 placemats approximately 10" square.Refreshments and home made cake are provided.
