In this class, you’ll sharpen your patchwork skills by learning how to cut fabric accurately with a rotary cutter and piece together all 30 squares with precise seam alignment — a hallmark of expert patchwork.
You’ll then create a quilt sandwich and finish your runner with the all-in-one binding method for a clean, polished look. To highlight the vibrant multi-colored squares, the runner is edged with cheerful ric rac braid, secured with plenty of straight stitching for durability and style.
Measuring approximately 40” x 12” (100cm x 30cm), this runner is perfect for the festive season — but can easily be adapted for any time of year.
Skill level : Basic sewing machine skills required.
You will need:
- A mixture of Christmas fabrics( enough for 30 x 15cm squares)
- 40cm Batting/wadding
- 40cm backing fabric
- 6 metres of 11mm ric rac braid
- Matching thread
