Christmas Patchwork Table Runner at Abakhan at Shrewsbury

Get ready to brighten your holiday table with a beautiful Christmas patchwork table runner! In this class, you’ll sharpen your patchwork skills by learning how to cut fabric accurately with a rotary cutter and piece together all 30 squares with precise seam alignment — a hallmark of expert patchwork.

You’ll then create a quilt sandwich and finish your runner with the all-in-one binding method for a clean, polished look. To highlight the vibrant multi-colored squares, the runner is edged with cheerful ric rac braid, secured with plenty of straight stitching for durability and style.

Measuring approximately 40” x 12” (100cm x 30cm), this runner is perfect for the festive season — but can easily be adapted for any time of year.

Skill level : Basic sewing machine skills required.

You will need:

• A mixture of Christmas fabrics( enough for 30 x 15cm squares)
• 40cm Batting/wadding
• 40cm backing fabric
• 6 metres of 11mm ric rac braid
• Matching thread

Janome sewing machines will be provided on the day along with a hot drink. You will also receive a 10% discount card to use in-store.
