Event description
Come and hear about Christmas in years gone by at Tudor House Museum

About this event

Join us for a special festive talk at Tudor House, all about Christmases of the past! We'll go on a whistle-stop tour of the festive season through the centuries, from the Tudor times to the Second World War. From stuffed boars' heads to Christmas dinner on the ration, we've got it all covered.

There's only two opportunities to join us for the talk: Saturday 27 November and Saturday 11 December (2 to 3pm both occasions). Spaces are limited so please book via Eventbrite or email info@tudorhouse.org.uk

Please note that this event has proven very popular and the two date have now sold out! We've added a third date - 11 December at 11am - but if you'd like to be added to the waiting list for the afternoon talks please do get in touch at the above address. Alternatively, if you are part of a local history group or other organisation (such as a WI, U3A, Probus etc) do get in touch if you would like us to visit you - virtually or in person! - to deliver the talk. Email info@tudorhouse.org.uk to discuss charges.

The talk is suitable for all ages but is probably best enjoyed by those aged 13 and up. There is no charge but donations are very warmly welcomed. Or, why not stop off in our coffee shop for a mince pie afterwards, and get some Christmas shopping done in our gift shop? We have the best selection of tea cosies in town!
