This December, we have a special Christmas Wine Tasting at The Sessions House with our own WSET 3 sommeliers Erika and Andrew - as they go head-to-head in the hope of convincing you they have the perfect wine line-up for your Christmas table!
The setting: To maintain its intimate nature of wine tastings at The Sessions House, this event is limited to 14 seats only in the Victorian grandeur Magistrates room. Featuring tall, ornate wooden ceilings and magnificent large Gothic windows that hint at the building's rich history. You'll be enveloped in the cozy glow of an open fire crackling in our impressive large marble fireplace, while the room twinkles with the soft sparkle of Christmas trees and festive lights.
The Tasting: You’ll be served 8 wines in total. After the welcome wine, you will be served with 3 pairs of wines as one will be Erika’s and one will be Andrew’s personal recommendation. You get to decide who has chosen the best wines at the end of the night! Plus a mystery wine and blind tasting for all.
In terms of the wines:
- Welcome sparkling wine to start
- 1st pair: Who has the perfect aperitif to get the party started?
- 2nd Pair: Who has the perfect Christmas dinner wine?
- 3rd Pair: Who has the best digestif to help us slide into the evening?
- Mystery wine: an experimental addition to your Christmas table that no one has had before.
Each wine will be served in a size of 80-120ml. Please do not attempt to drive home.
The Food: All this and you’ll also enjoy a beautifully prepared festive cheeseboard and cold cut board.
Time: Door opens at 7pm, tasting starts at 7:30pm or when all the guests have arrived.
