Description
Make your own Christmas Wreath and Platter. Enjoy creating festive objects to decorate your home in the run up to Christmas. The tutor will guide you through making your own wreath using a willow base and decorated with holly and other foliage. You will then have the opportunity to create a platter to serve bread or fruit on your dining table or give to someone as a Christmas gift. Come and enjoy making these decorative pieces to take home with you.
All basketry materials will be provided. Please bring a notebook and pen.

Sarah Gardner studied textiles design at Buckinghamshire University and went onto to work as an art and design technician/photographer and teacher. She has has been practicing basketry techniques, mainly with willow, flax and hedgerow materials for a number of years. Sarah helps to run the local leather accessories brand, Wolfram Lohr. She promotes leather craft in the craft and trade sector and has been a part of the Brighton Open Houses showing her basketry. Sarah has collaborated with artists on a number of exhibitions and projects including weaving fences.
