The Workshop
One of our very favourite things to make here at Our Crafty Place is a wreath. Beautiful for any occasion, they instantly bring charm and warmth to your front door … but at Christmas, they take on a special magic. Nothing says “Welcome home” quite like a handmade festive wreath, brimming with tradition, greenery and seasonal cheer.
This year, we’re saying “Bring on Christmas!” with our very own Christmas Wreath Making workshop.
We (Kate and Viv) can’t wait to share this joyful tradition with you! Together, we will:
- Provide you with a wide choice of festive foliage and decorations
- Guide you step-by-step in building your wreath from scratch
- Share simple floristry rules and tips so your wreath is full, balanced and glorious
By the end of the workshop, you’ll take home a stunning, hand-crafted Christmas wreath — a creation you can be proud of, ready to brighten your door and delight your visitors.

What to bring?
Anticipation to enjoy the whole experience!
Specific to this workshop:
- Reading glasses if you need them.
- You may have Christmas ribbon or a special decoration that you want to include – please bring it along to add your personal touch.
What skills are needed?
No experience is necessary. Don’t worry if you think wreath making might be tricky — it’s easier than you imagine! Only moderate finger strength is needed to press the stems into your wicker wreath, making this activity accessible and enjoyable for everyone. You will be using wire cutters, scissors, string, ribbon and the lovely plastic / fabric leaves and flowers.
What are the timings?
This is a relaxed, morning running from 10am to 1pm.
Our purple front door will be open from 9.30am so we can welcome you in, you can get to meet us and your fellow crafters and grab a cuppa / mulled wine before you start …. well, it IS a Christmas workshop after all!!
