Christopher Robin (2018) is a heartwarming live-action film starring Ewan McGregor as the adult Christopher Robin, now a weary, overworked man in post-war London who has lost touch with his joyful childhood. When Winnie the Pooh and the rest of the Hundred Acre Wood friends reappear in his life, Christopher is forced to reconnect with his imagination, family, and the values he left behind. McGregor brings warmth and emotional depth to the role, capturing the quiet struggle of growing up and the magic of rediscovering wonder.

Children are welcome to bring their favourite teddy along to this special screening—just like Christopher, they might need a little reminder of the magic of childhood.

The inaugural Crieff Film Festival runs from 8–10 August 2025, offering a weekend of film, creativity, and community spirit in the heart of Perthshire. This exciting new event shines a spotlight on local pride, with a special nod to Crieff’s own Ewan McGregor and Denis Lawson — two celebrated actors with deep roots in the town. Whether you're a devoted fan or simply curious, the festival is the perfect opportunity to celebrate their cinematic legacy.

Screenings will take place at Strathearn Arts and Crieff Hydro, featuring a vibrant mix of Scottish classics, family favourites, and standout features. Best of all, all screenings and workshops are completely free, and with every ticket booked, you'll be automatically entered into a prize draw to win an adult hamper or a children’s hamper filled with goodies.

We’re also offering free creative filmmaking workshops for children and young people, led by Scottish filmmaker David Barras (Electric Man).
