Event description

Description

"Chronic breathlessness; populations and persons"

Chronic breathlessness, persisting despite optimal treatment of the cause, is prevalent, disabling and distressing. At the population level it is associated with poor clinical outcomes and burden on health services. At the personal level it is experienced as a seriously restricted life with impact on families, but one which may be improved by interventions directed at the symptom itself. This presentation will review the population aspect and then focus down to the individual and implications for clinical practice.

CPD approved.

The Seminar will take place at UCL 5.30-6.30 (40 minutes presentation and 20 minutes for audience questions and discussion). Following the seminar refreshments will be provided and we hope that attendees will stay to meet colleagues, network and exchange ideas.
