Description

Using Archives to Discover Church Stories

Acting Keeper of Archives Gary Brannan will give a guide to the use of archives in exploring church history as well as information on the holdings available at the Borthwick, including the extensive records in the York Diocesan Archive.

A Church Crawler’s Paradise : A Virtual Architectural Tour

Church Building Advisor for the Diocese of York, Keith Halliday, will take us through a virtual tour of the churches of the York Diocese, showcasing the architectural wealth and diversity of the area’s churches.

The Church Explorers Network connects people working in churches to help them promote their building through a programme of networking events, training and skill-sharing. Together we explore the history and archaeology of our church buildings and discover how to make the most of them as a heritage asset.
