How do I get to Romford railway station?

It is best to arrive at Romford railway station by train. Your guide will meet you in the ticket foyer of Romford railway station near to the ticket barriers, at the allotted time.

How will I identify my guide at the station?

Your guide will be wearing a bright yellow T-shirt or cagoule. His photo is shown on this page to help you identify him.

What if it's raining?

If rain is forecast, please bring a waterproof coat with hood with you, as we will try to continue the tour if it is raining. If the rain is too heavy to continue the tour, you will be offered a full refund.

How long does the tour take?

The tour takes about two hours.

What age group is the tour suitable for?

The tour is suitable for people of any age who are interested in history and architecture. However, we ask that under 16s should be accompanied by an adult.

Do I have to be physically fit to do the tour?

A high level of fitness is not required. However, it is a walking tour. We will cover between 2 and 2.5 kilometres on foot. There will be plenty of rests though.

Will we be able to see inside the churches that we visit?

We cannot guarantee that we will be able to go inside the churches. But, if we can, we will.
