Description

Free AS/A Level History Teacher Training Event

In collaboration with Churchill Archives Centre and OCR, Chartwell invite you to attend a free training day for anyone teaching OCR's AS/A Level History unit Y113/Y143 (Britain 1930-1997), which includes the Churchill depth study, as well as other teachers interested in Churchill and/or this unit. The day is supported by The National Lottery through the Heritage Lottery Fund.

The day will include four key elements:

  • A session focused on using primary sources, led by the Churchill Archives Centre
  • A session looking at the key exam information, led by an OCR Subject Advisor
  • A discussion of current historical trends in the 'Churchill World', led by Dr Cat Wilson (author of Churchill on the Far East in the Second World War)
  • A full guided tour of Churchill's house and time to explore the gardens and Studio.

For further information about how to get to Chartwell, local accommodation options and if you have any special dietary requirements, please email learning.chartwell@nationaltrust.org.uk.

The training session has step free access. However, Chartwell as a home and garden has limited access. To help us accommodate you, please let us know of any access requirements you have by emailing learning.chartwell@nationaltrust.org.uk.
