Event description

Description

Bright Futures, a Guernsey based Charitable Human Capital Institute, will once again be hosting the C.I. Human Capital Summit: The Future of Work event on 2nd April 2020 in Guernsey, kindly sponsored by Carey Olsen and HSBC and supported by Grant Thornton. We are thrilled to have secured speakers rom the OECD, FT and Bloomberg to name a few.

The C.I. Human Capital Summit; The Future of Work, is an innovative, informative and inspirational conference that aims to raise awareness of, and the implications of, the changing face of the workforce and workplace. Faced with the impact of AI and automation, the ageing population, the gig economy, widening skills gap and Brexit, this conference draws on the experience of some of the best known names who will share with you their insights on how to prepare for such challenges and opportunities on the horizon.

The core focus of the event will be to highlight key economic and social trends related to the changing face of the workforce (present and anticipated future) highlighting the impact of the gig economy, skills gaps and requirements, declining well-being, changing demographics and how the future of work landscape is set to change over the next decade.

We will also shine a spotlight on how many of our job designs, workflows, control mechanisms and organisational structure came of an age in a different competitive environment and before the advent of the computer. Such new fundemental changes will redefine the definition and execution of leadership. The evolving skills gap, skills adjacency, agility and learnability, declining wellbeing and changing demographics will also feature. Finally, it will require everyone to approach their own work and careers as a constant process of deconstruction and reinvention.
