LiFi (lighting) Data Transmission & the Evolution and New Trends in BMS

Our presentation this month will be of interest to consultants, designers, contractors, and all involved in the construction industry.

George Harasymyszym, Regional Sales Manager SA/NT of Dialight, will be presenting on Li-Fi, which uses the lighting in a building to transmit data at speeds faster than Wi-Fi. It integrates with 5G as well.

The technology is supported by a global ecosystem of companies driving the adoption of LiFi, the next generation of wireless that is ready for seamless integration into the 5G core.

George has been in the Lighting Industry for 30 Years and been with Dialight for 7 Years He will provide example of the latest technology in LED lighting and Control Systems in the Construction, Mining and the Oil & Gas Industries.

Mike Dowling of Alerton Australia will provide a presentation on the evolution of BMS arriving at the emerging IoT (Internet of Things) trend. Vendors over many years have developed BMS systems, and the IoT is the next generation of BMS.

Mike is Oberix’ General Manager (Western Region), Oberix being the parent company of Alerton. He has spent 17 years in the industry with the last 10 years at the Oberix group working in various divisions Alerton, Conservia and Operational Intelligence, and has worked in various markets around Australia.

His passion is technology, smart buildings and emerging trends, and he will bring some of this content to the upcoming event.
