Seismic design actions are a mandated requirement of the NCC and are often overlooked or seen as confusing by many contractors and consultants alike. In this session, KUSCH Consulting Engineers, who specialise in the seismic design of non-structural elements, will be talking about mandatory requirements for seismic restraint and how to not get caught out.

Key Highlights:

  • Clarifying the requirements outlined in AS 1170.4
  • Exploring different methods to achieve compliance
  • Clearing up some common misconceptions and confusion around seismic design
  • Comparisons between AS 1170.4:2007 and AS 1170.4:2024 and how it affects you
