Description
This training will be a combination training combining the Introduction to NEC3 and the principles of Construction Contracts. Both of these will be delivered by the ICE/NEC as online training.
We will be having a contract specialist available on the day shown. Training can be started, stopped, repeated for 6 months from commencement. Access to the training will be from the 26th February.
PRINCIPLES OF CONSTRUCTION
The commercial management and delivery of projects is driven by the construction contract and this targeted course will improve your ability to deliver your construction projects effectively. It is applicable across the construction sector, whether you work for client, consultant or contractor and across all the main contract forms.

Duration
The course is available in two formats: two day classroom or a 90 minute eLearning module.The eLearning is delivered through 8 succinct modules, taking a total of 90 minutes to complete. It will provide you with a broad overview of the concepts of construction contracts and the law. The programme finishes with a multiple choice test. Please note that the eLearning licence is valid for 6 months only from date of purchase.

INTRODUCTION TO NEC
This short single-module online training course focusses on introducing users to the NEC family of contracts.
Delegates will gain an understanding of the philosophy of NEC; the extent of the NEC family and how it extends to goods, works and services procurement; There will also be an outline of a few key features of the NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC) including the importance of early warning, the programme and compensation events.
Intended for:
New or potential users of NEC3 contracts.

At the end of the course participants should be able to:
- Understand the philosophy of NEC
- Appreciate the extent of the NEC family
- Appreciate a few key features of NEC contracts
Duration
This module takes approximately 40-60 minutes to complete and is followed by a short multiple choice test.
