CILT Cymru and the Rail Freight Forum are pleased to announce a visit to the Freightliner Terminal, South Wales International, Wentloog , Cardiff. This is a crucial intermodal hub for Cardiff and South Wales. It is situated to the east of Cardiff with local road access from M4 and A48M motorways and rail access from the South Wales mainline.

CILT Cymru wishes to invite supply chain managers and logisticians from Wales and adjacent English regions to learn about the successful operations at this Welsh intermodal terminal.

The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport UK congratulates Freightliner Group on celebrating 60 years of “Innovation in motion “. This 60th Anniversary coincides with Railway 200, marking 200 years since the opening of the Stockton and Darlington Railway in September 1825, the world's first modern freight railway. CILT acknowledges the help and support of Freightliner in marking this historic milestone and exploring rail's past, present and future role in national life. The visit reinforces 3 of the 4 themes of Railway 200, namely innovation, technology and the environment, education and skills and celebrating railway people
