Description

Cinderella Pantomime (26th & 27th January 2019)

When Cinderella is left home alone by her Wicked Stepmother and Ugly Sisters, it seems all hope of going to Prince Charming’s ball is lost. However, with a little magic from her Fairy Godmother, and Anna Prentice, the most wonderful night of her life is about to begin.

Join us for this classic “rags to riches” pantomime Cinderella; a girl who discovers that a pumpkin and new pair of shoes really can change your life.

Brought to you by the totally unprofessional Parish Pantomime Group this is the 15th annual show from the Corpus Christi team that’s brought you such unrecognisable shows as: George and the Dragon, Babes in the Wood, the Case of the Global Giggle Grabber & Puss in Boots. You think they’d have learnt to do something else with their time by now.....

So don’t delay. Dust off your best outfit & dancing shoes and book your tickets today. There’s fun and laughter for all the family in this annual pantomime extravaganza. You too can go to the ball!

FAQs

What charities are you supporting this year?

Sal’s Shoes (www.salsshoes.com)

There are 300 million children in the world for whom walking with shoes is a rarity. This makes them extremely vulnerable to infection by parasites, such as hookworm; while injuries to the feet and ankles can lead to ulcers and other conditions which are almost always left untreated. Without shoes, many children are not permitted to attend school.

Sal’s shoes take worn children’s (& some adult) shoes and transport them direct to a new home. Crossing continents to make sure that used, loved (and barely worn), outgrown children's shoes are delivered straight to those in need.

Check out the FAQs below for details of how you can donate your shoes at the show.

AND

Berkshire Respite Holidays

Berkshire Respite Holidays (BRH) and their volunteer carers use Jumbulances - specially adapted touring coaches - to make travel possible for less abled travellers who are unable to join in holiday breaks and pilgrimages by themselves and require some level of support or simply some companionship on a holiday.

BRH holidays in 2018 included a respite holiday for younger transition care adults to Holland in July and also, in September, a UK break to Norfolk for a slightly more senior group. The Parish has strong links to the charity and several Parish members have supported our group in the recent years either financially but also by joining our adventures themselves as volunteer carers. Several less abled travellers from the Parish have also enjoyed travelling with us (14 joined our recent Norfolk trip) and the group is always keen to hear from new people who may want to join our groups.

BRH is self funded and relies on charitable donations to offset the costs of travelling with the balance of costs for each trip being met by the volunteer carers and less abled travellers themselves.
