Description

Come along to CINE[STHESIA] - our film club showcasing hidden gems from the National Library of Scotland's Moving Image Archive.

A selection of films exploring Scotland’s rich tradition of textile production. In the first of this two part series, we travel to Shetland to experience the spinning, carding and knitting of wool. Moving on to the island of Harris, we’ll witness the gathering of materials to make dye and the production of its most famous export – Harris Tweed.

After the screening, take some time to explore our collections in the National Library's award-winning, new Kelvin Hall venue.
