About this Event

Following the production of the Government’s Industrial Strategy, Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) have been tasked with developing Local Industrial Strategies (LIS) for their areas, to be in place by March 2020.

The Cornwall and Isles of Scilly (CIoS) LEP is in the process of developing its LIS and our aim is to develop a strategy which makes a compelling case to government and private sector investors built on evidence of our regions distinctiveness and future opportunities for economic development, jobs and earnings.

Currently, the evidence base which will underpin the strategy is under review but by the end of the summer we will have the start of a draft strategy ready for consultation with businesses, organisations, charities and individuals across CIoS.

One of the challenges set by government is that our Local Industrial Strategy addresses the Five Foundations of Productivity. We would like to invite you to a roundtable to join our conversation, help us to start to think about what the evidence is saying and how to answer key questions about how we will improve productivity across sectors, expertise and capabilities.
