How 'digital' will Revolutionise L&D

Technology has been commonplace in L&D for decades but in an age in which digital is transforming organisations - and even industries - L&D is falling behind in both its approach and implementation of modern tools. This session will highlight and explore the opportunity of digital in L&D, beyond e-learning and the traditional LMS. It will be practical and conversational, addressing many of the challenges faced in organisations and from stakeholders. You will have an expanded expectation of what we could (and should) be doing with digital in L&D and how digital will take us into the workflow and deliver real performance and productivity outcomes.

Refreshments will be served from 6pm with the event starting promptly at 6.30pm.

Our Speaker:

David James

David James has 20 years’ experience in L&D and is currently Digital Learning Strategist at Looop. Previously, he was Director of Talent, Learning & Organisational Development with The Walt Disney Company, where he spent 8 years. Based at Disney’s EMEA Head Office, David led the UK Learning & Development department from 2006 until 2012 and then took over the EMEA teams, supporting the entire suite of Disney business units and corporate functions.

David’s role as Digital Learning Strategist has him working with major corporate organisations, such as Sky, ASOS, Amazon, Discovery Channel, and HarperCollins, to make digital really work for them in achieving their people development goals. In addition, David is a conference speaker, writer, a tutor on the CIPD level 5 digital L&D qualification, and member of the CIPD L&D Advisory Board.
