About this event

How self - awareness impacts inclusivity & belonging
Specialists in the ED&I world are feeling the pressure, and your leaders know that they must lead this agenda with confidence. So much emotion is connected to this subject, especially a fear of making mistakes. You can no longer get away with a tick-box approach.
We are all responsible for our contribution to how inclusive or NOT our workplace culture is, and by cracking ourselves open to look inside and raise our own self-awareness around this contentious subject area, we can start to make a difference.
As a result of attending this event you will:
- The concept of social pain and its neuroscience ‘roots’
- How we can use our experiences of social pain and the associated vulnerability to connect with those who are in minority groups, even if we’ve not had their lived experiences
- How social support is the antidote, and how to use it without rescuing
- How by being open about our own discomfort we immediately become more inclusive
Please have your camera on if you can. This will be an interactive session that involves breakout discussions so please be ready to engage in the conversations and share your experiences.
