Mental health – The legal aspects

Due to popular demand on our event on 15 November we have arranged this second event, covering the same content.

Our Mental Health - The legal aspects event is being delivered by expert Catharine Geddes – Partner at Lester Aldridge LLP. Catharine will be looking at the following:

• What the legal responsibilities of employers are in supporting overall mental wellbeing, as well as those with diagnosed mental illness.

• How employers can work to reduce potential discrimination against those with poor mental health at all stages of the employee life cycle, including recruitment.

• The implications of not being a responsible employer.

• Bbest practice recommendations to minimise risks.

As a result of attending this event you will:

• Develop knowledge of the Equality Act and the protection it offers those suffering with a mental health condition.

• Implement better practice to reduce the risk of discrimination towards those suffering with a mental health condition.

• Understand the implications of not implementing best practice.

• Understand the role of mental health first aid and mental health first aiders

Catharine Geddes – Partner at Lester Aldridge LLP 

Catharine is a very experienced employment lawyer and HR advisor. As a business owner, team leader, manager and former Head of HR, Catharine brings hands-on experience and can deal with disciplinaries, redundancies and training within clients’ businesses.

We operate a 7-day cut-off date for ticket cancellations leading to a refund.
