May Network meeting – Open discussion forum

The Senior People Professionals Network has been designed so that senior people professionals, based in the North of England, can come together for peer support, and to have discussions on topical issues.

In our May meeting, we are going to open the floor up to our members to allow you to discuss the burning issues affecting you right now.

During the meeting you will be invited into breakout groups to discuss the following questions:

- What is the number one thing that is on your mind at the moment?

- What is the most impactful thing that you are currently working on?

Come along to share your story and experiences, obtain guidance and insights from your peers, and help to support others.

Who is the CIPD North Senior Professionals Network for? 

This network is for north of England-based people professionals in senior roles, with responsibilities for strategy and management. These roles could include Head of L&D, Senior HR Business Partner, OD&D Manager,  and Assistant People Director.  

As this is a Network designed for peer to peer support it is important that we ensure that all members are at a similar level of seniority. The network is open to both CIPD and non CIPD Members. To be considered as a member of the network, you will be asked several questions prior to being able to register for your ticket.

Overview of the CIPD North - Senior People Professionals Network:

During the pandemic, people professionals have stepped up like never before, taking on new and unprecedented challenges from dealing with evolving legislation to the constantly shifting challenges of new ways – and whereabouts - of working. This burden is taking its toll, and we know that burnout is a real risk for many. The new Senior People Professionals Network has been designed to help support your wellbeing and provide a platform to share best practice with like-minded peers.

You’ll also get the opportunity to find out more about our valuable membership tools and resources and how they can help support you in your role and advance your skills and knowledge.

Upcoming events/dates:  

The CIPD North Senior Professionals Network will meet every two months. The meetings will take place at midday on the third Wednesday of the month.
