CIPR Cymru Wales Autumn Conference -
Building trust in the PR industry
Back for the third year running, we will once again host our annual autumn conference to give PR practitioners in Wales a great opportunity to learn, share and enhance their knowledge.
This year we'll be focusing on the issue of trust in the PR industry - how do you build it and more importantly, re-build it after a crisis? At this learning event, we're aiming to equip delegates with a variety of skills and takeaway tips, with a day of case-study led talks and hands-on workshops.
What can you expect on the day?
How do you begin to build trust for your clients or within your organisation? Reputation management is vital, preparation is key and the ability to respond effectively and timely when a crisis hits is crucial. The conference will include case-study led speakers talking about a crisis they worked through themselves, what went right, what went wrong, and what would they do differently in the future.
There'll also be three hands-on workshops covering:
- What to do during a crisis, with renowned reputation and crisis communication consultant Magnus Carter
- How to handle a developing crisis on social media, with Kate Rawlins from Social Simulator who'll be taking us through their 90 minute social media crisis simulation
- And how to avoid reputational damage by making sure your facts and figures are trustworthy, with Andrew Garratt, who advocates better communications with numbers and words.
Who should attend?
The CIPR Cymru Wales Autumn Conference is perfect for PR practitioners at any stage of their career, as we all have a vital role to play in the reputation management and trust building for our clients and within our organisations. The day will be filled with opportunities for learning and insight, networking and good topical debate. Whatever stage of your career you are and wherever you work, whether in-house, charity, agency or public sector, make sure you don’t miss out.
Registration is 9:30am for a 10am start and will close at 4:30pm.
The ticket cost includes refreshments and lunch.
We had limited interest for transport to be provided but if anyone thinks they might struggle to attend because of transport issues, please don't let this put you off booking! We will help to arrange car shares with other delegates or suitable transport options.
There is plenty of free parking at the venue.
10 points will be available to CIPR members for attending this event!
