Event description

Description

What is circular economy? How can it benefit your business?

A circular economy (CE) is an alternative to a traditional linear economy (make, use, dispose) in which we keep resources in use for as long as possible, extract the maximum value from them whilst in use, then recover and regenerate products and materials at the end of each service life.

There are currently some significant funding opportunities for SMEs that are interested in investigating circular economy opportunities.

Come along to our event on the 23rd of May and hear from our panel of speakers including Chris Radway, Technical Director and Circular Economy Knowledge Leader from Ricardo EE. Ricardo EE an internationally renowned consultancy, with world-leading environmental expertise. Chris will explain what is circular economy and the benefits of CE to businesses.

We will be joined by David Thomson, Chief Executive of the Food & Drink Federation who will highlight the benefits of CE to this sector using case studies. Scott Simpson, Managing Director of Industrial Nature, an innovative leader in bio-based construction systems and a circular economy business will also join us. He will highlight the business benefits of adopting this new business approach.

Details of the funding and support available to help businesses consider opportunities will also be highlighted.

To book please email events@edinburghchamber.co.uk
