The Penultimate Curiosity

FAQs

Travel Bursaries

A few travel bursaries are available for students travelling more than 50 miles to Oxford. Please contact Emily, the CiS Development Officer (emily.sturgess.cis@gmail.com) for details before booking.

What should I bring to the event?

If you haven’t pre-paid for your sandwich lunch pack, you may prefer to bring your lunch with you, as it can be a 10min walk to local outlets.

Coffee and tea will be available during breaks and water available all day. An optional sandwich lunch pack is available for an additional £9.00 (A choice of sandwich filling - Chicken, fish or vegetarian, plus a packet of crisps, a piece of fruit, and a homemade tray bake or chocolate bar and bottled water) NB this is only available if booked before Wednesday 4th October. Otherwise, please bring your own lunch.

Abstracts

Speaker abstracts will be emailed to registrants in October.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Public transport is available nearby (Oxford Rail Station and local bus services). Limited onsite parking is available, this is mainly reserved for disabled passengers/drivers. If parking is required, please contact the CiS Executive Officer on maryb.cis@outlook.com. No parking space in guaranteed unless confirmed by the Executive Officer. (You will need to supply car details etc before confirmation of space.)

Informal supper

There will be an informal supper (Pay Your Own) for those who can stay on, at a local restaurant, about 6.30 pm. If you would like to come, please contact Mary, the CiS Executive Officer on maryb.cis@outlook.com by 12 noon Thursday 19th October so we can confirm numbers with the restaurant.

What's the refund policy?
