Description

Being a Christian in ...... a Science Career

Sheffield University

Saturday 28th March 2020

BOOKING FOR THIS YEAR'S STUDENT CONFERENCE IS NOW OPEN!

This year we are really excited to gather at Sheffield University to explore what it means to be a Christian in a Science Career. Our event will include a number of speakers, workshops and opportunities to discuss and pray together about being Christians working in different scientific industries. Full plans are still being finalised for the programme of the day. Details will be sent out before the event.

If you would like to stay for more after the conference, there will be the opportunity to gather for a meal in the evening at a local restaurant for those that are interested.

FAQs

Who can attend?

All are welcome whatever your background or belief. You do not need to be a student or studying a science based degree to attend. We simply ask that you are interested in the topics that will be presented and come ready to ask lots of questions!

How much does it cost?

If you are a student, tickets cost £5. Otherwise please purchase a standard ticket for £8.

What is included?

Lunch is included in your ticket price, as well as, refreshments throughout the day. There will also be plenty of free resources to take away with you.

How do I get there?

From Sheffield Railway Station, you can catch the tram straight to Sheffield University or catch the 95/95a/271/X2 towards Walkley and get off at Gell Street. The journey should take about 10 minutes by either route. Parking is not easy around the University, so arriving by public transport is recommended.

I'm concerned about the cost of travel? What should I do?

Bursaries are available for travel if attendees live more than 50 miles from the event. Each bursary application will be considered on a case by case basis. Please contact the Development Officer for more details.

How can I contact the organiser with any questions?

If you have any questions or queries about the event please contact the Development Officer, Steph Bevan on steph.cis@outlook.com.
