Event description

Description

Speakers: Rab Bennetts, Bennetts Associates and David Partridge, Argent

Individual works of architecture need to function in themselves whilst often providing a backdrop to city life. Over more than 30 years Bennetts Associates has built a series of calm, well-crafted and sustainable projects that balance individuality with functionality, both for those who use the buildings and for people whose experience is subliminal. Over a similar period, developer Argent has invested in public realm first, ensuring that buildings play a supporting rather than dominating role. Rab Bennetts, founder of Bennetts Associates, and David Partridge, managing partner of Argent for many years, will discuss how their similar approaches to architecture and urban design support the vitality of cities.
