The Details
Join us for a day of habitat management and become a Citizen Forester with City of Trees!
We are carrying out this work to maintain a healthy and sustainable habitat that supports local wildlife and the surrounding community.
We will be clearing some ditches to improve the local wetland, laying limbs of willow to create habitats for Willow Tits, and maintaining paths around the site. This work involves the use of various pond maintenance tools like ditch chromes, and other sharp tools like pruning saws and loppers. Litter pickers will also be provided.
All tools will be provided; please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work and sturdy footwear. Drop in for an hour or stay the whole day - you will be guided throughout the day so no prior experience is necessary. This activity is suitable for adults.
