Join us for a day of tree maintenance and become a Citizen Forester with City of Trees!
Join us for a day of tree maintenance, giving our young trees at Higginshaw some Tree-LC. We will be carrying out this work to ensure that the these trees reach establishment and create woodland areas that will support the local wildlife whilst also responding to the climate emergency.
All tools will be provided; please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work and sturdy footwear. Drop in for an hour or stay the whole day - you will be guided throughout the day so no prior experience is necessary. This activity is suitable for adults and children.

Parking/public transport
- There is limited residential parking in the area.
- Bus 409 operates from the Oldham Kings Street Metrolink stop to the site, and the site is a 15-minute walk from Oldham Bus Station.
About the site
Higginshaw is a sports field. The area where we will be working has uneven ground, steep inclines and no formal paths. A Portaloo will be provided for use on the day.
