Join us for a day of tree planting & maintenance and become a Citizen Forester with City of Trees!
We will be doing tree planting and maintrenance, giving our young trees at Atherleigh Way some Tree-LC. We will be carrying out this work to ensure that the these trees reach establishment and create woodland areas that will support the local wildlife whilst also responding to the climate emergency.
All tools will be provided; please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work and sturdy footwear. Drop in for an hour or stay the whole day - you will be guided throughout the day so no prior experience is necessary. This activity is suitable for adults and older children.

Parking/public transport
- Onstreet Parking is available on Kirkham Road, a 5-minute walk from the working area.
- If you're travelling by public transport, Jean Avenue bus stop is a 5-minute walk from the working area.
About the site
Atherleigh is a public green space located in the Pendleton Flashes Nature Reserve. The area where we will be working has uneven ground and tall vegitation. the working area can be accessed by a footpath. A portaloo will be available on site for volunteer use.
