Citizen Ken: An Everyday Guide to Political Philosophy
Peter Hitchens in conversation with Ken Livingstone
DOORS OPEN 6PM FOR A 6.30PM START
"If voting changed anything, they'd abolish it!"
Whatever one thinks of Ken Livingstone, it must be acknowledged that he has had the most extraordinary political life. From staging a coup of the GLC to winning the London Mayoral Elections as an independent candidate, Ken has forged his own inimitable path and political philosophy.
In this no-holds-barred conversation, PETER HICHENS will place Ken's political philosophy on trial. Join us for what promises to be an electric exchange, followed by a panel QnA.
Former Mayor of London
Columnist, Mail on Sunday
Our chair for the evening will be Shahnaz Ahsan, a local writer and entrepreneur.
Ken Livingstone's latest book Being Red (2016, Pluto Press and Left Book Club) and Peter Hitchen's The Cameron Delusion (2010, Continuum) will be available. Jan Wolf from Left Book Club will be present and make some introductory remarks.
Tickets are FREE and open to all.
