The agricultural European Innovation Partnership (EIP-Agri) is an initiative of the European Commission. It works to foster competitive and sustainable farming and forestry that 'achieves more and better from less'. EIP-Agri Focus Groups are temporary groups of selected experts focusing on a specific subject, sharing knowledge and experience. The Focus Group on Short Food Supply Chains worked on the following question: "How to stimulate growth of short food supply chains in Europe, both in terms of numbers of producers involved and volumes traded, to increase farm income?"
