Supporting the Apprenticeship Journey – Enhancing Teaching, Learning and
Assessment Practice for the New Apprenticeship Standards (England)
As part of our continued support to City & Guilds centres, we are running a series of national
quality improvement events aimed at all vocational sectors delivering new apprenticeship
standards. This 1 day CPD workshop is designed around engaging practical activities. It aims
to provide ideas for further developing your individual and centre practice when working
with new apprentices and their employers.
The day will help you focus on key areas such as:
Translating your new apprenticeship standards to employers and apprentices – what is good practice?
What ‘quality’ on-programme delivery looks like for the new Apprenticeship standards?
How the apprentice’s learner journey is supported through effective teaching,learning and assessment.
Where are you going with Mathematics and English?
Exploring opportunities to teach and assess apprenticeship ‘behaviours’.
Unpacking the differences between formative and summative assessment - preparing your apprentices for end point assessment (EPA)
Preparing yourself for the delivery of standards in the new enviornment – your CPD needs.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
If you find you are unable to attend the event we are happy to transfer your registration to the person you nominate. Just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know and avoid any confusion on the day.
What is your cancellation policy?
A refund request must be received at least 10 working days in advance of the event for a full refund to be processed. Should you be unable to attend more unexpectedly we are happy to transfer your ticket to the person of your nomination. Please contact us at email@example.com if you are unable to attend.
In the unlikely event this event is cancelled a full refund will be processed, or alternatively your registration transferred to another date if scheduled and to your agreement. Please note train tickets/travel expenses in relation to the event cannot be refunded.
What are the arrangements for lunch?
A light lunch will be provided and tea/coffee will be available over the course of the day. You will be contacted before the event to specify if you have any dietary requirements.
