City Lights Summer 2013
Event Information
Description
We’re really looking forward to seeing you on
Saturday 22nd June 2013
City Lights is a project run by Regenerate. We host regular one day events to encourage people to get involved in their communities.
We meet together, we share breakfast, we pray for the challenges that those living and working in tough areas of London face, we listen to inspirational stories from individuals working in social justice and then we get busy and set to work doing practical and community based projects for the afternoon. The projects on the 22nd June will be taking place on housing estates in Roehampton, Putney and Battersea.
We're delighted to announce the speakers for the 22nd June are Gary Flynn & Ellie Hughes.
Gary is a London business man who 'lost everything' after his health and business collapsed, but whose life was transformed. Gary will be sharing how through faith he turned everything around and how he came to be the leader of the Street Pastors team in Richmond.

As a social worker in London, Ellie found time and time again that she met single parent families trapped in cycles of despair and isolation and believed that their lives would be transformed by unconditionally loving Christian community. So Ellie set up The Riverbank Trust with the hope of doing just that. Today she'll be sharing a little of her story with us and offer some guidence on how to engage with local social issues. http://riverbanktrust.org.uk/
We ask all participants for a donation of £6 to go towards breakfast and material costs. If you are unable to pay this fee, we would still love you to come, please email us we don’t want money to be an obstacle for any one on the day.
