FAQs

What is the City Ninja?

The City Ninja is an assault course with giant inflatables and free standing obstacles. Participants will make their way through scramble nets, rat run tubes, up and overs, slides and much more, to slam the button in the end zone. Participants will be timed so they are able to challenge themselves to beat their own record!

Where and when is it held?

The event will take place in the Sports Hall in Student Central at the University of Huddersfield on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th April 2019.

Family sessions will run between 10am and 12 noon on both days.

Adult sessions will run Saturday from 12 noon until 6pm (last start time) and on Sunday 12 noon until 5pm (last start time)

What is a family session?

A family session is aimed at participants with children. An adult session is aimed at adults only.

The assault course and obstacles are the same but the family sessions will give the younger and smaller Ninjas the opportunity to take part in a more family friendly environment.

How long do I get on the course?

Each slot is 1 hour long and each participant can complete the course as many times as they are able to with their hour. All participants must arrive at the venue 30 minutes before the start of your time slot to register and for the safety briefing.

Can children take part?

There are no minimum age requirements to complete the course, however all participants must be over 1.3m tall at the time of booking. Parents and guardians of children must stay within the close proximity of the activity whilst they or their children are taking part.

What level of fitness do I require to take part?

This is a physically challenging course and we advise you to make sure you have a basic level of fitness before signing up to the event. Extreme Adventures reserve the right to exclude persons that it feels are not suited to the activity.

How do I book?

Participants must book through Event Brite: kirkwoodcityninja.eventbrite.co.uk

All bookings must be made through Event Brite.

What's the refund policy?

This event is non-refundable.

I want to raise extra money for Kirkwood Hospice by getting sponsored. How can I do this?

Whilst we encourage participants to raise sponsorship, this is not essential and not a requirement for taking part in the event. Any money raised will help Kirkwood to provide care and support to our local community. Participants can download a sponsor form from our website or can set up an online funding page such as Just Giving or Virgin Money Giving.

Is there free parking?

There is no free parking at the University but there are plenty of car parks a short walk away. The University is also easily accessible by public transport.

What should I wear?

This is a physical event so we recommend wearing sports ware, including trainers. Ninja t-shirts will be available to buy on the day for an additional cost.

How will I receive my tickets?

When booked on Event Brite, the lead booker will receive an email with their tickets. These tickets will need to be printed and brought along on the day of the booking.

Please not that this activity is physically demanding and Extreme Adventures reserve the right to exclude persons that it feels are not suited to the activity such as those heavier than the maximum weight or fall under the minimum height.
