City of Culture 2021 Sotogether CAN
Event Information
Description
Stoke-on-Trent City are submitting a bid to be City of Culture in 2021. In July 2017, we received official notification that we have been shortlisted and are now competing against just 4 other cities! We have formed a SoTogether Community Advisory Network (CAN) to enable community members to have their say on what they would like to see from the bid. This group is for anyone living, working or studying in Stoke-on-Trent. You do not need to be ‘into’ arts and culture to join, just have an interest in helping to make our city a great place to live and work. The aim of our SoTogether Community Advisory Network is to ensure local people have ownership over the bid and the programme.
We are holding a meeting on Monday 7th August 2017 between 12:30noon and 2:30pm, at the Sponsors Room, Victoria Hall, Hanley. Come along and:
-
Find out about the bid so far
-
Tell us how you want to be involved (whether that is telling your friends, hosting event, sharing info on social media or helping with our consultations, it’s up to you)
If you would like to come along please let us know so that we can order some refreshments.
We would like to encourage as many community members as possible to join our network, so if anyone has any special requirements, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate them. Refreshments will be available and any bus fares can be reimbursed. If there are any transport issues, please do not hesitate to contact us.
