Our 12 week City Players Acting course started on 19th January 2022, but it's not too late to join! We know people are nervous about venturing out at present so we are offering the first few classes as a £10 taster.

This bespoke course for beginners will train you in professional acting techniques taught at drama schools. If you want to transform your confidence and self-esteem, gain the inside track into the acting world and utilise practical tools in acting, voice and movement, then this is the course for you.

Our acting classes are designed to offer a progression through the levels of Beginners to Improvers and Acting Company. With an emphasis on fun, the course is also aiming to teach a toolbox of skills for the aspiring performer, to someone wishing to brush up their skills. You will receive guidance and feedback from your acting coach throughout the course.

This course is great for beginners who fancy a bit of challenge and to push themselves, and perfect for those with a little bit of acting experience.

Join our acting group focusing on performing scenes from the plays of well-known playwrights and feel the thrill of live theatre!

You will be looking at the style and context of various plays, as well as working on vocal technique, physical expression and characterisation.

In the 12-week term you'll choose specific scenes to work on. You’ll then perform your scene in a public showcase at the end of term, in front of an invited audience.
