Event description

Description

'Citymaking: voices from the LGBTQ+ community' is a public event to share the results from the #MyQueerCity workshop that took place on Feb 27th on what an inclusive city meant from an LGBTQ+* perspective (read more here).

The event will consist of a brief video and an explanation of the key themes that emerged based on participants desires, hopes and aspirations for an city that meets LGBTQ+ needs. We will then open the floor to wider discussions and questions around how this differs from current city making, and how we can shift toward greater inclusiveness.

Please note that:

The venue is wheelchair accessible.

This project is a recipient of the Academy of Urbanism Young Urbanists Small Grant, and is carried out in collaboration with the Building and Social Housing Foundation (BSHF). Find out more here.
