Civic Change, in partnership with ERSA, is organising an international study tour for ERSA members. This tour will provide first-hand insights into how other countries design and deliver public and commissioned employment services.
What you’ll learn
Participants will explore practical approaches to:
- New models of public-private partnership and collaboration
- Tackling youth and long-term unemployment
- Designing inclusive services for people with health conditions and disabilities
- Using digital tools to enhance employment services
- Drawing lessons for the UK in light of policy reform and regionalisation
Study Tour Locations
Phase 1: Belgium (3 days – Monday to Wednesday)
- Base: Brussels
- Focus: Innovative employment service delivery, employer engagement, and digital innovation.
- Planned sessions with Actiris (Brussels) and other key actors, plus a European policy perspective through institutions such as DG Employment.
Phase 2: Austria, the Netherlands, or Lithuania (3 days – Monday to Wednesday)
- Austria: Best practices in youth employment and regionalised services
- Netherlands: Advanced public-private partnerships and digital innovation
- Lithuania: Strategies for addressing economic inactivity and workforce transitions
