Civil Service Fast Stream Employer Presentation
Please join two current Fast Streamers to find out first-hand about life on the Fast Stream, tips on how to apply and the careers this can lead to. Whether your passion is for people, numbers, politics, doing good in the world or even if you don’t really know yet, this talk is for you. The range of opportunities on the Fast Stream is wide. From day one you will get an amazing amount of responsibility and work on complex, high-profile challenges that affect us all.
Claire Ambrose is on the Generalist scheme. She has completed postings at the Valuation Office Agency and Department for Communities and Local Government, and is now at the Department for International Development. Her roles have ranged from working on a Housing and Planning Act to considering how to tackle violence against women and girls. Previously she worked as a lawyer in a City law firm for five years so she will also speak about the private/public sector comparison.
Ruth Kennedy is on the Science and Engineering Fast Stream. She has just completed a year at the Department for Transport working on vehicle emissions science, drone traffic management for the future, and is now working at the Forestry Commission in Edinburgh. Ruth joined the Fast Stream immediately after graduating in Engineering Design in 2015.
There will be a presentation followed by a Q&A session, and an opportunity to meet Ruth and Claire informally after the event. We look forward to seeing you there.
