Event description
Please join us for March's forum, to discuss the idea of a Clacks wide Volunteering Strategy, including having a volunteer "passport".

About this Event

Join us for our March 2021 Clackmannanshire Volunteer Management Forum (VMF).

This month, the forum will focus on discussing shaping a Clacks wide Volunteering Strategy. Although we all operate in different ways, and have varied volunteering programmes, there are basic standards we can all agree to, and support our local volunteers with a Clacks wide standard for volunteering.

John Brown, Delivery Leader for Scotland & Northern England, Volunteering Matters, will be joining us to provide an overview of a project put in place in Newcastle called a Volunteer "Passport". This allows volunteers to move between organisations, without having to go through lots of different registration, and induction processes, allowing volunteers to assist projects quicker, and to have a bank of volunteers that can be called upon for different tasks.

The meeting will also introduce work on "Business with a Heart" - a concept for an employer supported volunteering initiative locally.

If you are a Clackmannanshire third sector organisation who involves and supports volunteers, this is your forum to shape!

The forum will resume monthly meetings, and future dates for 2021 have been agreed as:

- Thursday 8th April

- Friday 14th May

- Thursday 10th June

- Friday 13th August

- Thursday 9th September

- Friday 8th October

- Thursday 11th November

- Friday 10th December

Eventbrites are live for all the above dates (but booking is only possible a month in advance), and meetings will take place via zoom until further notice.
